1900’s House Renovation
CUSTOMER STORY
We moved into our house in Staffordshire on 27th December 2019, because Christmas isn’t busy enough without moving house the day after Boxing Day!
It’s a large Edwardian semi with high ceilings, large windows, lots of period features like the Minton tiles in the hall and parquet floor in the lounge and an adjoining 2 storey annex. We’re gradually working our way round the whole house introducing some strong colours on the walls, a lot of panelling and velvet (I’m obsessed!) and a mix of traditional and modern decor. Lockdown certainly hasn’t helped the renovations as I’ve really missed being able to go into shops to match colours and mooch around for ideas but luckily we managed to visit a few while they were allowed to open, including Arthur Lee.
We bought a stunning shagreen drinks cabinet and matching mirror to go in our dining room and they fit in perfectly. The dining table is actually a pool table with a dining table top so the drinks cabinet is very well placed for a game of pool and a drink or two!
I love spending time choosing interiors, styling new products and generally faffing with vases, candles and cushions! I’m documenting our house journey on Instagram so feel free to take a look @my1900shouse
I can’t wait to visit the fabulous Arthur Lee again but, in the mean time, perusing the new website will keep me very happy!
